Hurricane Maria is regarded as the worst natural disaster in recorded history to affect the island, which left many Puerto Ricans without power for over a year and in need of emergency relief. Humanitarian Wave was on the ground within a week post Hurricane Maria organizing and providing much needed emergency relief items such as food, water, medical supplies and solar powered lights. Our programs create life changing opportunities for individuals and their communities. Humanitarian Wave supported the development of the Fishing Cooperatives in La Majahua, Mexico and Plastic Recycling Plants in La Union, Guerrero Mexico. Our programs are designed to provide people in those communities with basic necessities such as medical supplies, food and water.
